Monster Island, The Asylum's 2019 mockbuster that was ironically released around the same time as Godzilla: King of the Monsters, is about an island called Monster Island where a monster may be located; the monster is, if you will, the island itself.


Because this film is about an asylum, it has a similar budget to a large kid’s meal. The film uses it lightly, focusing on a handful human characters and (review) filming all the big stars' sequences at one location during lunch. The Asylum might not do a terrible film because it's a kaiju film.
